Excellent in every way!

Love this place been coming for years when I lived nearby and since we moved further away we keep coming back! Super hot chocolate with marshmallows, excellent range of leaf teas, paninis are great and come with nice green leaves and crisps, cakes are beautiful out of this world home made delights . Itís brilliant at any time of year and the owners and staff are the most amazing hosts of their superb little establishment. We have a baby and were instantly offered a high chair and nibbles for him nothing is ever too much trouble. When under pressure (this place always seems busy and for good reason) they are always calm and friendly and clearly do their best to give the best service. Five star! Feb 19

Best Tea Shop for Miles

Having had a super time with the Alpacas we were in search of a cuppa and as we drove down the high street spotted this rather cute little tea shop. We were not disappointed, it was real tea! Yes tea where you need a strainer and delicious too. The menu left us thinking what we would eat, the choice was excellent, some had ciabatta with bacon and brie, others had the cream tea, cakes were good too and then when we were thinking it was time to leave another pot of tea came, in fact we actually had three pots without even asking. Really love hot tea it was. Asking about the history of the shop, Lyn took everyone on a tour of this 13th century house, three stories high that was when closing time and come and gone but no-one tried to send us on our way. So go and give them your business, lovely people and delicious food. Feb 20

Tea Rooms

Great traditional tea rooms with a lovely court yard garden. Ask for the tea menu for different teas from around the world. Friendly staff you are knowledgeable about tea. The cream tea is to for for. Enjoy, I do. March 20

Beautiful English Tea Room

Reviewed 4 April 2014 ...My friend and I, on a day out came across this lovely traditional tea room. The owners are really friendly, the food wonderful, especially the Coffee Walnut cake and prices reasonable. We will return in the summer for a cream tea. Well worth a visit..

Mothers Day Vintage Afternoon Tea

Lovely afternoon tea with a choice of sandwiches, scone and cake in a very quaint tearoom with friendly staff and free tea pot refills. The food was excellent and thank god we took Lynns advice when we booked and didnít eat anything before going. April 19

What a Brilliant Find

We can honestly say the best tearooms we have found in Kent no exaggeration! All staff were really friendly and efficient even though it is a really busy popular place. We sat in the pretty courtyard garden and had a vintage afternoon tea. Real loose leaf tea, lovely vintage China and cutlery, exceptional scones, clotted cream and jam home made cake and sandwiches. We were offered more hot water to top up the tea and could have stayed as long as we wanted to as no rush to move us on even though the table could have been used. We will return! May 19

Top Gem in New Romney

How on Earth have I missed this tea shop when Iíve visited New Romney, well Iíve no idea, but thank goodness I stumbled upon it this Bank Holiday weekend. Positioned on the high street is this beautiful quaint coffee shop which has a lot more tables inside than you see on first inspection. Weather permitting there is also a lovely garden. Greeted as soon as we stepped through the door with offers to sit where we liked. First class service from the start. Lots of choice both on menu and boards. Welsh dresser filled with delicious cakes, muffins and home made scones straight from the oven. Fantastic cheese on toast, with nice flavoursome cheese. Teapots with mountains of choice of tea (no bags here). China cups, cubed sugar all help enhance the experience. Afternoon tea, cream tea, high tea you name it they have it. There is something for everyone here. Great prices and well worth the visit.

We visited Deblyns tea shop in New Romney recently. What a place! The food is absolutely fantastic, the atmosphere is brilliant and the staff are amazing! I had the home made soup, which was leek and potato. It was delicious and served with a warm baguette. I then had a piece of cake, again, home made, which was chocolate, black cherry and clotted cream. It was perfect! Just moist enough and beautifully light, with plenty of filling. Itís such a shame that we live so far away, as Iím sure we would be frequent visitors, if we were local! Thank you so much for an amazing lunch! May 19

Oh my...

Reviewed 24 May 2014 ...Visited this gorgeous addition to Romney today and cannot praise it enough. The tea room and its garden are so pretty but this is not twee or over done: its just lovely. Outside, in the walled garden, there are lots of comfy cushions for the seats, masses of flowers and umbrellas for the sun (and rain!). Inside, the original fabric of the very old building has been kept and it adds to the surroundings. Take the opportunity to look upstairs at the coffee lounge - you will love it. So, to the food. Two of us had the vintage tea and a baguette and cake (one after the other of course!). The vintage tea was embarrassing, in that everyone looked at it, and us, as it came out but, hey ho, we did not care. All the food was fresh - sandwiches were crammed with fillings and our daughter said the smoked salmon (no extra charge) was yummy. The sandwiches, cakes and cream tea (all included in the extremely reasonable price) were presented on a traditional cake stand, together with chocolates. One of us gave up and asked for a doggy bag for her slice of cake.... We would wholeheartedly recommend this tearoom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hats off to Deb and Lynn

My wife and I are regular visitors to Deblyns. However, it as been a while since our last visit. Today we went for lunch. Like always we were made very welcome. Our lunch was excellent. We just had panini. The service was second to none. The menu will suit all tastes and very reasonably priced. I am sure that once you have been to Deblynsís you will come back again.July 19

Highy Recommended

Seven of us had afternoon tea and it was very good. The crumpets and scones were excellent. It is recommended that you make a booking as this tea house is very popular.Aug 19

Cosy Little Teashop

Very friendly staff with a warm welcome, the teashop feels very homely and the prices are very affordable. They also have a very pretty and well looked after garden with outdoor seating. The menu has a lot of options to choose from and they cater for any dietary requirements. Definitely will be visiting again and is well worth a stop at if in the area.Sept 18

Delicious Cream Tea

We visited this tearoom during our journey from Sevenoaks to Dover. We had a very warm welcome. We ordered cream tea and were also presented crumpets, as we did not know what crumpets were. We really liked both - scones and crumpets. It was a pity that the weather was not good enough to sit in the garden. Sept 19
